Greetings from Walden!!! The summer season is in full swing and
it has been an exceptionally fruitful summer, though very wet
at times. The highlights are the satsangs on the weekends. While
the Saturday satsangs have been held for many years, it is the
4th year of Sunday mornings. They have evolved into quite an event
each weekend.
Saturday evenings after dinner and arati, is a treat with Gurudev
drumming with each movement touching our hearts and dissolving
that which stands in the way between the limited I and unlimited
consciousness. The ecstasy is beyond belief.

Sunday mornings starts at 7 a.m. with setting up the white
tent which is the temporary hall for the summers. After breakfast
by the stream, the program begins at 9 a.m. with Guru Gita, Kirtan,
Talks, Dhanya/Dhanya, Jyota & lunch by the stream. Various
people have been sharing their thoughts and understanding of the
spiritual path.

Gurudev has been busy with the architectural drawings and fine
tuning them. It is wonderful to yet witness another manifestation
of Baba’s grace and Gurudev’s efforts. This will enable the building
approvals to be acquired simultaneously as he travels to India
and Australia. His inspiration is a joy to observe.
We are planning to break ground Spring 2004. This next phase
of construction will allow us housing, kitchen/dining hall, giftshop,
reception and much more. It will give us the opportunity to be
an ashram with the basic infrastructure. (ie: bathrooms instead
of port-a-potties).

The gardens here at Walden are absolutely filled with the
blossoming colors of Springtime. The wildflowers are present,
the orchards bearing their fruit; a time of renewal and an invitation
to embrace all of life. Gurudev continues to fill our minds with
knowledge and expand our awareness beyond its limitations. Our
hearts are filled with joy and he inspires us to keep moving forward
with steady progress.
It has been wonderful to see the continued steady flow of seekers,
reconnecting to themselves, to Gurudev and to Shanti Mandir. |
