Annakoot Pooja at Shanti Mandir, Magod

During Diwali Annakoot Pooja was performed on November 5, 2002 at the ashram in Magod.

Annakoot Utsav is celebrated in observance of the episode in Sri Krishna's childhood, in which He gave protection to the cowherd clan of Vrindavan from the wrath of Indra and humbled Indra in that process. The cowherds, their wives, children and cattle jubilantly surrounded Sri Krishna. They were awed by His superhuman accomplishment and celebrated Sri Krishna's feat with a sumptuous feast. Thus began the tradition of Annakoot.

Devotees offer their gratitude to God and Satgurus - Bhagwan Nityanand and Baba for their Grace in making their lives poorna - complete.

On this occasion trustees of Shanti Mandir offer their heartfelt gratefulness to all of you who support Shanti Mandir with unstinted generosity in various forms - monetary donations, participation and seva. May the Satgurus shower their blessings upon us and to permeate our lives with peace and contentment.

Sanjay and Usha Shetty perofrmed the Pooja.
